Leank: teaching business process efficiency in the classroom

Leank is an initiative developed by auxiell to teach students in schools the essential techniques, principles, and tools needed to improve business process efficiency.

Thanks to our experts, students have the opportunity to learn both in the classroom and in real-world settings. They study the fundamentals of the lean system, exploring topics on waste reduction in value chains within the organisational and management contexts of all logistical and production activities in a company.

How it unfolds

The training programme includes classroom lessons and in-company workshops, where students, working in groups, have the opportunity to visit local businesses. This allows students to combine classroom knowledge with technical and process skills applied directly in the field.

Testimonials

I learned how to identify and eliminate waste, how to organise a workspace, but above all, I realised the importance of working with a team that can offer a perspective different from my own and tackle problems from various interpretative angles.

The students responded very positively to auxiell's programme, despite the selective entry process and the significant extracurricular commitment it required. What motivated them most, in my opinion, was realising that the lean methodology applied to industrial processes allows them to develop valuable analytical skills in waste reduction, which are highly relevant to environmental, economic, and social sustainability – qualities that are greatly valued by companies focused on these issues.
